Mayweather vs Cotto: The Contradiction

Many speculations are visible and available through the web; Sports News, search engines and social networking sites. People are starting to choose their bets. Boxing experts are also giving their own feedback and comments about the upcoming Mayweather-Cotto fight on May 5th: “Ring Kings” since both Floyd and Miguel are great fighters inside the boxing ring.

When it comes to feedback and recommendation, people would love to hear it from somebody who is really capable of predicting things about boxing. Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao who defeated Cotto recently and Pacman’s trainer Freddie Roach have different point of views about the fight. This is quite rare for them not to agree in giving prediction of who will win.

Freddie Roach, trainer of Manny Pacquiao, believes that Mayweather won't have any difficulty against Cotto. Roach believes so much on Mayweather’s ability to out-box his opponent; he was also present during the 154 pounds fight of Floyd with Oscar De La Hoya wherein Floyd got the title. Mainly, Freddie Roach knew the capacity of Floyd in defeating another fearless boxer.

On the other hand, Manny Pacquiao (who fought against Cotto before) is confident that Miguel will get the victory. Pacman stated that his fight with Cotto recently was a tough one; he also added that is a strong and huge opponent for Mayweather. Chances are Pacman can verbalize his thoughts about the Mayweather-Cotto fight because he was able to see it for himself how great Cotto was. Though Pacman doesn’t know yet what Floyd can do since they haven’t been in a fight yet.

The contradiction is always present, it is just a matter of how people weight each statements coming from the boxing experts. The thing for sure is that, both fighters should not dwell much on what people predict, whether to a professional boxing expert or to an ordinary boxing fan. No one can really tell unless the battle ends.
